Your Journey to the Fraser River
Your adventure kicks off in the heart of British Columbia's stunning Fraser Valley, just a short drive from Vancouver. Depending on the fishing conditions, your trip may depart from Chilliwack or Hope.
You'll be greeted riverside at the boat launch, who will have everything prepped and ready to go. Your private boat for the day will be a custom-built, covered aluminum jet boat, ensuring your comfort and safety in any weather.
Creature Comforts & Gear
After a safety briefing, sit back and relax with a hot coffee, or light snack provided by your guide while you are heading to your first fishing destination. Some packages even include a legendary riverside BBQ lunch. Please let us know if you are interested.
You'll be provided with industry-best Simms G3 wading gear (waders & boots) for the day. Please layer up with a waterproof jacket and warm under layers so you can be comfortable in all types of weather and conditions.
Catching (And Releasing)
Your guide will provide all the necessary instruction, to set the hook and the proper way to fight and land a monster White sturgeon.
You'll be using top-of-the-line fishing gear from Shimano, Lowrance, Simms & Yeti. Because the last thing you want is to lose a 200lb+ sturgeon because of faulty gear.
Conservation in Action
When you catch a sturgeon with Sturgeon Co, you become part of the conservation effort. The sturgeon fishery is strictly catch & release. Every fish caught is treated with the utmost care to ensure the fish's well-being during the tagging and release process. With the fish safely alongside the boat, you'll work with your guide to scan the sturgeon for a tag. If it's a new fish, you'll get the honor of implanting a unique ID tag and entering it into the conservation database.
Guests of Sturgeon Co have contributed data on over 20,000 sturgeon catches over the past couple decades.
Capturing the Moment
Want a photo with this prehistoric fish? No problem. Sturgeon Co provides top of the line Simms waders and boots so you and your group can jump shoreside to take a quick photo or two.
When done, you'll witness the powerful moment the sturgeon swims away, returning to its home in the Fraser River.
